What is the date and location of the Tight Shortz premiere in July 2010?
Tight Shortz will debut in Chinatown Plaza, in downtown LA. The exact date in July is to be finalized. Stay tuned!
What will the event be like?
The festival is an all day event that will take place from 12 PM to 10 PM. The event is both indoors and outdoors. The major live musical/dance performances will take place outside in the Plaza, on the main stage, from 12 PM to 7 PM. We will have a screen erected above the stage. The film screening will begin at 7:30 PM, with out-of-competition films screened first, followed by films screened for competition. The indoor venue is Grand Starr Jazz Club, located within the Plaza. The Grand Star will be converted into art gallery exhibiting work from various artists. The Grand Starr also has a smaller stage, where we will feature live performances by singer/song-writers, spoken-word artists, comedians, and DJs, for the duration of the day-long event. Also, DJs will be spinning music intermittently throughout the day. Vendor booths will be set up outside, selling products and/or services from 12 PM to 10 PM.At the end of the festival, there will be an after-party, with DJs continuing to spin music from 10 PM to 11 PM.
What about the parking situation?
There is plenty of street parking around the neighborhood.
